I was so excited to review these lights. We TRY to decorate outside for Christmas but sometimes it's really a pain. We have to find outlets and extension cords and well sometimes that's too much of a pain. So we put out decorations that don't require outlets or we concentrate on the inside of the house.
So when I saw these were Solar powered I was over the moon excited. One I save a little on electricity and two I won't need to look for an extension cord to use them. The lights are dainty little square bulbs so but the are more compact and seem less likely to be damaged in transport than the typical pointed bulbs we normally decorate with.
I love that these are versatile and can be used indoor or outdoors safely. So I could put them in a sunroom (if only I had one) or I can put them in my front yard. The solar mat is a nice size so it will charge and stay charged all night if it gets more than 6 hours of sun.
There is no on off switch they will automatically come on in dim/dark lighting. Which is totally fine with me, they are not burning up electricity and I wont' have to remember to turn them off in the morning!! But you can just cover the solar panel if you want them on in brighter lighting. They are of course waterproof since they are for outside use.
