When I was told I had to wear glasses I was very upset. Of course I was a child in second grade and I thought my life was over because everyone would make fun of me. I hated to wear them and took them off every chance I got. I remember breaking them on more than one occasion as well.  I got contacts as soon as possibly could to avoid being the nerd with glasses.

A LOT has changed since I was a child in second grade. Glasses have become cool, fun, novelty items. Every year the frames get cuter and cuter and I have hard time picking out just one pair. They were shipped in a cute little case. They were wrapped in a cleaning clothes so the lenses were protected from getting scratched during shipment.

I have an EXTREMELY high powered prescription and my lenses are very thick if I don't get that special polycarbinated material. So after I ordered my glasses I wondered if I would get some very heavy, thick lenses in this cute little frame.

But I did not get that, I actually got the opposite.  I was very surprised how lightweight my glasses are. I had a pair from my doctor that were too heavy to wear so I hardly ever used them unless extremely necessary. These frames are tiny yet fit my face perfectly. The lenses are not visible at all even around the rim of the frames, which is pretty thin. That impressed me because sometimes the ones from my eye doctor won't  look that neat and flushed with the rim.

I can't express how much I love these little frames. I find myself wearing them a lot more often than I used to wear my other glasses.
