I HATE to do dishes the water is so hard on my hands and manicure. I am not a spoiled person I have worked hard all my life but it never fails something needs to be washed a few minutes after I've painted my nails. I could go months without painting my nails and nobody would tell me to wash dishes.
The sad thing is I have a dishwasher but I have this immense love hate relationship with my dishwasher. I love that I don't have to wash dishes but I don't love prewashing. It takes so much time to make sure every piece of food is off of the dishes. To me if I have to pre-wash there is no need for my dishwasher but prewashing is a necessity.. or is it?
I am huge Cascade fan and I was very happy review Cascade Platinum Action Pacs and Rinse Agent for y'all. I love action packs and the Cascade Platinum Action they are super easy to use just toss one in the dishwasher's detergent chamber and close it. That is much easier than the powder because I always make a mess with the powder.
I also received a bottle of Cascade rinse aid. I always use some type of rinse agent because my dishwasher doesn't work well at all without it. The work together to save you time by requiring no prewashing.
a nice clean brownie pan |
I was instructed to invite my friends over and cook a macaroni and cheese and a pan of brownies and leave the pan of brownies sit over night! I won't say I never leave dishes over night but I would never leave them sit and just put them in the dishwasher.
But my guest (who did not want to be pictured - they are not as cool as I am) and I ate and talked then I loaded my dishwasher in front of them. They were a little concerned about me not prewashing one even asked about the food going in my pipes. So I told them Cascade Platinum is to eliminate prewashing. Then I shared something I learned from the material provided in my package. Most dishwasher have a built in garbage disposal. They work just like the ones in your sink. Now remember that is MOST so Cascade and I can't guarantee your dishwasher has a disposal so that's something to look into.
yucky stuck on food |
So I set my dishwasher on the highest setting which usually takes a couple hours and we went off to chat, eat, and drink coffee.
So when we opened the dishwasher what did we see?
sparkly clean! |
So after the party before my guest left I gave them their own action packs, rinse agent, and information
Now some useful tips for dishwashing success:
- Stack em high or low just make sure bulky items don't block the sprayer
- Place all of the tall dishes & pans in the back of the bottom rack so they don't block the detergent chamber
- Check your bottom and make sure to place glasses and other fragile items in the top rack this keeps them away from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.
- keep glasses looking great by setting them between the tines on the rack, not over them. Wet contact points can cause spots.
- Treading longer utensils through coffee mug handles keep them secure in the wash.
Ok so Cascade wants ya'll to tell them what you think of Cascade Platinum and what you are doing with all the free time from not prewashing.. So if you have an opinion to share, leave an authentic review at www.cascadeclean.com/us/cascade/review and use hashtags #cascadeshingingreviews and one lucky reviewer will win a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher!

The hardest thing for me to scrub out are the casserole dishes after I make scalloped potatoes. The crunchie burnt cheese ring around the top is murder to remove. I usually line the dish with foil to prevent this mess from happening. Sometimes I forget or am out of foil. (yeah I know who runs out of foil? ME !) Same goes for when I make homemade Mac N cheese with ham diced in. That burnt cheese gets me every time! It is so yummie though! It is getting closer to fall so we will be having these comfort dishes. As well as gaining 10 lbs from eating the higher calorie comfort food and being more sedimentary due to weather.
ReplyDeleteI think cooking spray is one of the hardest things to remove from anything! It always gets stuck on and coats everything!
ReplyDeleteI think melted cheese is the worst. Some tomato sauces that have a lot of fat are pretty tough, too.

ReplyDeleteBaked on grease is difficult for me to remove. It often builds up on pans on the outside as well as the inside. The 9 x 13 pan that I used last week to bake some pork chops has turned brown on the outside, but it is still my favorite pan to use for this recipe and many others. I have been using this pan for about 50 years and plan to continue using it.

ReplyDeleteWhen I make muffins I hate cleaning the muffin pans afterwards. It is so time consuming to scrub all the crumbs and baked on crust from each little muffin cup holder; so, I would say this is the hardest to clean.

When I make lasagna the sauce and cheese stick to my casserole pan. Making enchiladas leaves yucky stuff too. I use Cascade because I've tried a lot of other dishwasher tabs and I always go back to Cascade. Thank you for the chance :)

Hands down stuck on grits are the hardest to remove from any dish/pot. They stick on worse than cement and you have to all but chisel them off. I have learned over the years to immediately pour from the pot into your bowl, and fill that pot with hot soapy water immediately. Same with the bowl when you are done. Otherwise, you may be throwing out some dinnerware
ReplyDeleteI think the hard thing to remove from cookware is melted on cheese.
ReplyDeleteI think that the hardest thing to remove would be any kind of spaghetti sauce or cooking spray.
