Whoever came up with the phrase " you smell like a wet dog" must have been around my dogs or owned a ShihTzu . It can drizzle or mist outside and they come in smelling like well .... a wet dog. At least if it's raining I can tell visitors, I'm sorry they stink they just got wet. But what is the excuse the other 75% of the time that the stink?
It's very frustrating I bathe my dogs and a hour or so later they stink again. I have got them home from the groomers, let them out to do their business and they came in stinking. I never thought such a little fuzz ball could smell so bad. And I mean TERRIBLE. I would have to bathe them everyday but that is so back breaking and they don't exactly cooperate.
So when I got to review John Paul Pet Grooming Pack I was super excited. I thought it was a regular shampoo, spray, and brush but was overly happy to find out it is a waterless shampoo! That means no bath tub needed!! You just rub the foam on their fur and brush it in.
So it rained yesterday and when the dogs came in they smelled so bad I couldn't take the smell. I grabbed the shampoo, I was immediately impressed with how soft and silky it felt and it also had a very pleasant smell.
The brush is really nice and a great quality as well. The ball tipped metal pin bristles are very sturdy and go through the fur easily with minimal pulling. The handle is very well made and narrow it's easy to hold and maneuver. The Oatmeal conditioning spray smells amazing and sprays evenly.
I love this set it will save me from having to bathe the dogs everyday. This is perfect to keep them smelling fresh in between baths. I forgot to mention something very important, all of the products are cruelty free and tested on humans. If humans can use it you can feel safe using it on your four legged family member. Oh and you want to hear something amazing, you can use this set on cats too! My cats like to be brushed so I think this would work great for them.
